Get started
Use the workbench to capture HTTP callbacks without standing up your own server.
1. Open the workbench
Section titled “1. Open the workbench”Go to the workbench. A default endpoint tab is ready as soon as the page loads.
2. Copy your endpoint URL
Section titled “2. Copy your endpoint URL”In the endpoint bar, use Copy URL. That URL is your public receive address (path shape /wh/{token}). Send webhooks here—not to the browser URL of the Webhookah app itself.
3. Create another endpoint (optional)
Section titled “3. Create another endpoint (optional)”Use New URL when you want a separate receive address for a different integration or test.
4. Send a request
Section titled “4. Send a request”From a terminal, send any HTTP traffic to the copied URL. For example:
curl -X POST "$ENDPOINT_URL" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{"event":"payment.captured","amount":1999}'Replace $ENDPOINT_URL with the value from Copy URL. Any method, headers, query string, or body works.
5. Inspect the request
Section titled “5. Inspect the request”Watch the request list update in real time. Select a row to open method, headers, query parameters, and body in the payload panel. No refresh needed.
6. Clear when you are done
Section titled “6. Clear when you are done”Use Clear on the endpoint when you want an empty timeline. Clearing removes captured requests; the endpoint URL stays available for the next send.
